Calvin Thomson Sr. has always had a love for horses, showing Belgians with his father, William Thomson, at the early age of 4.
He has also owned quarterhorses and entered the rodeo scene, as a calf roper, in the early 1980's.
He met Paula in 1987, and married in 1989. Together they have five children. Sarah, Amanda, Calvin Jr, Perry and Jacqueline. The children have grown to love the therapeutic gentleness of a horse.
In 2011, Calvin returned to his love of the mighty draft horse acquiring two Percherons. Since then our journey, to where we are today, began.
We recently moved from a small village of Hickson to a hobby farm south of Belmont to begin living Calvin's dream. It doesn't take much to fall in love with these majestic animals and everyone lends a hand on the farm whenever they can, even our grandson Parker and granddaughter Loughin.
